Two Diplomas of Bachelor in Music with highest scores from the Superior Music Conservatory of Seville (Spain) with a special mention of Honour on Violin and Viola.
First Prize winner twice in the Soloist Competition of the Conservatory of Seville. In 2010 with violin and 2011 with viola. First prize in the II International Chamber music Competition Oviedo Joven, Asturias, 2001. He started his musical studies with his father Professor Pedro Romero Ortiz, one of the most influential classical musicians of Colombia, who was a member of the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla. Some of his main teachers have been: Alexander Gruzenberg (Soloist of Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra of Moscow), Igor Sulyga and Arkadi Futer (Virtuosos of Moscow orchestra) and Michel Michalakakos the well-known viola professor (Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris).
He has worked with the Oviedo Filharmonia Orchestra and collaborated with other orchestras like: Ramallah Orchestra (Palestine, 2019), Lyon National Opera Orchestra (2017), Orchestre National de France (2008), Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France (2008), Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Real Filharmonia de Galicia and the European Union Chamber Orchestra (EUCO) with which he went on tour to England, Peru, Bolivia and Chile (2002).
He has developed an intense career as a soloist and as a teacher.
Pedro Romero has been invited to various international courses and festivals such as the
Ramallah Orchestra & Tour, 2019 ( Jenin, Ramallah, Jerusalem - PALESTINE ), Concerts at the Résidence de l'Ambassadeur Française (Jardins du Golf Hôtel, Primavera La Salle in Ivory Coast 2013 and 2014), International Strings Festival in Villa de Leyva (2013, Colombia), Social Music Project of Child Play India Foundation and University of Seville (Goa, India 2013), International Festival of Culture in Boyacá (Colombia 2005 and 2009), XV International Festival Manuel de Falla in the Gran Teatro Falla in Cádiz (Spain, 1998) and the 3rd International Youth Festival of Segovia (Spain, 1998). He has also been invited as a Jury Member for the 4th Young Musicians Competition organised by the Conservatory of Music Joaquin Villatoro in Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz (Spain, 2013) and also for the Competition for Young musicians of Ciudad de Sanlucar in 2014.
Pedro Romero was the founder of the Association Filarmonia of Seville (2013, Spain), in which he develops an intense educational work among the young musicians of the city of Seville since founded the Association of Seville where provides opportunities for young musicians to play in orchestra since very young.
In April 2015 Pedro Romero played as Violin Soloist the L. Van Beethoven's Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano.
